This qualification is designed to give learners the underpinning knowledge, skills and competencies to use counselling skills ethically and safely in a variety of contexts and roles.

Those starting the first level of training as a professional counsellor. Those who want to learn counselling skills in other professional or helping roles. Those who want to improve their professional and personal relationships as part of personal development.
The Benefits

Previous experience
Level 2 CPCAB qualifications are for candidates with no previous training or experience who are looking to start their counselling training journey.
Standard or Intensive
Our CPCAB Level 2 courses in Counselling Skills include a minimum of 90 hours of teaching, tutorials, and dedicated skills practise sessions in a live online learning space
Standard Course
Delivered over 30 sessions and lasting 3 hours each, this CPCAB Level 2 course suits those who are able to commit to either morning, afternoon, or evening lessons.
Intensive Course
The duration of the intensive CPCAB Level 2 course in Counselling Skills is part-time, one day per week for 18 weeks. Lessons are approximately 6hrs.

Unlike traditional training providers with fixed timetables, we offer courses throughout the week - both mornings and evenings - tailored to student preferences. This gives you greater flexibility in choosing a time that works best for you. Once you’ve chosen your course, your schedule is set, but we prioritise flexibility from the start to ensure our courses fit your lifestyle, not the other way around.

The CPCAB level 2 online qualification in Counselling Skills is designed to give you the underpinning knowledge and skills to use counselling skills ethically and safely.

This qualification will not teach candidates how to be counsellors, but it will help them decide whether or not they want to train as a counsellor.

Age Requirement
The Certificate in Counselling Skills is suitable for anyone who is over the age of 18
Education
We require candidates to have a Grade 4/C or above in English. Kindly contact us to discuss options if you don't have these qualifications.
Interview
All candidates are required to be interview prior to be accepted on the course.

No learner is left unsupported and to achieve the qualification we provide regular tutorials with the course tutor. 1 / I'm not very academic.
We get it. We've been there too. Either ourselves or our colleagues have asked the question: Do I have to be academic? The answer is no, you don't need to be academic to achieve the qualification. Your tutor will help you get all the support you need to succeed. If there are additional learning needs, we will do our best to see you have those needs met.
2 / When do your courses run?
We offer daytime and evening courses throughout the week. Typically courses run in the evening as this is an ideal time for students to attend.
3 / How much is the course?
Our level 2 course fee covers all costs to see you qualify.
The course fee for 2024/25 is: ​

4 / Where are the courses run?
We run our CPCAB courses 100% online. We are based near Oxford and operate throughout Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. Covering Thame, Aylesbury, and Marlow as well as Buckingham, Amersham and Milton Keynes. Being online allows us to welcome students from all over country and internationally.
